Why choose Bloobirds over Outreach?

To clarify, we don't want to diminish Outreach's value. It just might not be the right fit for your team.

So, what are the differences?

Just like Salesloft, Outreach is a complex software that’s made to operate on top of Salesforce and that requires time (plenty of it), money (consultants, etc.), maintenance, and, most importantly, knowledge. These are things that some companies may afford, but ultimately it can lead to distraction and waste of resources.

In short, a sales engagement platform shouldn’t cost you and your team that much money and time.

Just features, no processes

If you want to establish prospecting or sales processes in Outreach, you have to build them in SFDC first. Plus, those processes don’t really materialize into a clear, visual, step by step in Outreach, so reps will just have to remember them.

Instead of having a database that your team has to manually maintain, Bloobirds offers an assisted, task-based system that follows the prospecting and sales processes you have defined in your Playbook. Reps won’t have to remember anything – the system will guide them through the process.

No integrated playbook

Bloobirds digitalizes your entire sales playbook. This means your GTM strategy, processes, value prop, pitches, etc., are live and actionable in a single platform. It helps your reps flow from one job-to-be-done to the next, following your sales strategy, without even realizing it.

With Outreach, your playbook probably lives in an old PDF or Powerpoint that your sales reps need to constantly check – if they even do it…-

Outreach doesn’t have an integration with Hubspot and other systems. This opens the way to faulty data and unreliable reports, which is one of the most common issues clients highlight when moving from Outreach to Bloobirds.

On the other hand, Bloobirds has a completely native integration that is built with the prospecting and sales process in mind.

As mentioned, Outreach is made to be built on top of SFDC. So, if you’re willing to invest in creating your own sales engagement platform on top of it, this tool is totally fine.

Cons? Remember you’ll need plenty of time, knowledge, expensive consultants, and patience to hack SFDC for implementing your processes, data model, dashboards, and reports, which may be the perfect storm for losing focus on the real topic: target markets, buyer personas, pain points, messaging – sales.

By the way, we’re CRM agnostic. So, don’t worry about changing your current CRM to SFDC just for us.

Average outreach tools

Outreach offers contactability tools and sequences for SFDC and they’re focused on automation and efficiency. So, if you’re looking for just a power dialer and mailer, Outreach might got that covered.

Nonetheless, operating without a playbook-guided platform makes your team freestyle and improvise, which can lead to lack of precision and relevance, and, even worse, burning the market.

Bloobirds not only has all the contactability tools totally integrated (dialer, mailer and even LinkedIn), but thanks to the pre-built playbook, it actually assists your sales reps and suggests the best pitch, email or qualifying question depending on your strategy and what’s working best. This means your reps will always know exactly what to say, when to say it, and how.

Outreach is not designed for collecting data while engaging the user. If you want your reps to submit the correct data, you’re going to have to remind them every single day to fill out lengthy forms. Plus, you’ll also need to set SFDC up to collect this data as well, risking losing some (more) of it along the way.

Instead of relying on your reps to remember to manually update the CRM, Bloobirds asks for the results as soon as they hang up the phone. So, by turning data collection into an intuitive conversation, Bloobirds registers the correct information according to the insights you need and allows you to gain more quality data with less effort from your reps.

Again, Outreach is not designed for collecting data, so all you’re going to be able to obtain in the reports are contactability-related metrics like open rates, number of emails sent, number of dials, etc., which are good operational metrics, but add zero value to your sales and business strategy.

In order to get other, more valuable, metrics, you’ll need to DIY in SFDC. This means – you guessed it – having to invest time and money in order to get the insights you actually need.

Bloobirds comes with the right strategic dashboards already defined, allowing you to track metrics that actually matter, such as who the top-performing rep is, which buyer persona is the highest converting, or which target market is the easiest to contact.

Sales reps Never miss another follow-up

What I like about working with the platform, apart from being assisted daily, is the fact that I can actually measure the quality and success of my pitch. By being able to see my conversion rates from meeting to opp, I can see exactly where I need to improve.
